Wing & Waves = Family Fun

This past week my sisters and I along with our families headed down to McMinnville to check out the wings and waves waterpark. We went on Monday afternoon which was perfect timing, it wasn't busy at all. The kids had a blast (so did the adults) Here are a couple of pictures my sister took. We don't have many because we were having to much fun. We will definately be back soon.

This past Sunday, I ran/walked my 1st 5k. My sister Bree ,Step-Mom Darci her friend Michelle along with some of my friends and co-workers signed up to do it with me. I trained for a couple of weeks but wasn't sure what to expect. Let's just say i needed to train longer. My dad and his wife came up saturday night . We went to dinner and they entertained the kids for a couple of hours. Sunday morning Bree came to my house and we drove together and caught the MAX downtown. It was Bree's first time downtown and on the MAX I think she enjoyed it. There was so many people all dressed alike so I was unable to find anyone else on my team. Bree and I started together then she left me in the dust under the bridge with some homeless people but who cares she was obvisouly worried about her time. Overall it was a great time and felt like I accomplished something. I am looking for my next 5k run may one with alot less people and to next year's shamrock run.

Friday night was Parker's last basketball game, his team The Blueberries(Parker named the team??) had an end of the season party before the game. They had snacks, cupcakes and shared funny stories about their season. Parker's coach named him Parker" the spark" Castellani. Coach Spencer said that Parker's smile can light up the room and his positive energenic attitude is contagious. They went 9-0 and in 2 of their games everyone on the team scored, not bad for 5 and 6 year old boys. Here are some pictures from the season and a video i thought I would share. This past Monday Dustin, Parker, my brother in law Mike and I all got the chance to go to the WWE Monday Night Raw at the RoseGarden. A good friend of mine works for the Portland Trailblazers ticket office and was looking for seat fillers since this event was televised. I offered for Dustin and I to do and and mentioned that Parker was going to be jealous. I asked her if tickets were still available for purchase thinking i could buy 2 tickets and have someone take Parker. A couple minutes later she called and said she got two tickets in a suite for Parker and a guest. After a couple phone calls and emails, we decided that I go with Parker and Dustin and Mike got to be the seat fillers. I think Dustin and Mike moved once other then that they got to sit 12th row behind the ring. Parker and I were in suite with two other people a daughter and her father, then toward the end of the evening when the ROCK came out in walks Chrisk Dudley (a former Trailblazer and his kids. I knew who he was but was too scared to ask for his autograph but still managed to sneak a picture. He was extremly nice and kept asking Parker all kinds of questions. I had a blast , I know Im a dork but Parker and I had a great time. It was nice to do something just as mother and son. After it was over we went and met up with Dustin and headed home to get Preslie and tell her all the exciting things. All she said was"you not on TV guys"

Beach Getaway

This past weekend we headed down to Lincoln City, Newport and Tillamook for fun. Dustin & I got a gift certificate to Seiltz Bay Lodge which we were suppose to use as a weekend getaway with NO kids but we figured we would spend most of our time saying oh the kids would this. So we decided to bring them along. I called last minute and the gal gave me the only room left which was a King Spa room, which included a jacuzzi tub in our room. The kids LOVED it i think they spent at least two hours in it the first night. We went to the Oregon Coast Aquarium in Newport, showed the kids where we stay when we go to the wine festival and walked around downtown newport. There favorite part besides the aquaruim was going to the candy store and picking out salt water taffy. Later that night after we got settled into our room we walked on the beach for a while and then headed to the arcade at Elenor's which is across the street from the hotel and Mo's resturaunt. We had ice cream and played games then headed to the outlet store to pick up Parker some baseball cleats. We had dinner at M0's where Parker tried clam chowder and loved it, along with fish and chips. Preslie not a fan of either lol. When then headed back to our room let the kids play in the jacuzzi and then headed to bed around 9. (man were getting old!) The next day we woke up and ate breakfast at the hotel where Parker enjoyed making his own waffles. We played in the tub again and headed home the LONG way through tillamook. We stopped at the cheese factory did the self guided tour and had some ice cream before we left. A the way home the kids kept talking about all the fun they had and how they want to go back again. It was nice to getaway as a family and we made some wonderful memories.

So we all know that Preslie doesn't like her picture taken so here is the best I can get of her playing dress-up today in her princess dresses her cousin Olivia passed down to her. Gymnastics went as good as pictures at JC Penny's, maybe we will try it again next year. She's bashful just like her daddy!
